3 Fun and Simple DIY Projects

Next time you’re bored and want to get creative, why not think about trying your hand at a DIY project? You’ll be free to design and create whatever you want, be it new furniture or useful additions to your home or garden. Below are a few ideas to get you started.

Pipe Leg Table

Next time you need a new table, don’t rush out to the nearest furniture shop! This pipe leg table can be created with minimal experience, tools and expense and it looks great! The best thing is that the legs are adjustable, so if your floor isn’t level, no worries! It looks rustic and can be used as a dining table, work bench or office desk, depending on how you finish it.

Pallet Bed

Just moved into a new place and need a bed? Rather than spending hundreds on a shop bought bed, why not try your hand at making a pallet bed? Pallets can be picked up for pennies, or even for free, and are an excellent building material. For a double bed you will need around four to six pallets, depending on the style you want to go for. It’s up to you whether you want to include storage or a headboard. Easy to put together with minimal tools, it’s a great project that can save you money. Again, you’re free to design and finish it however you want, creating a bed that suits you. Pallets can also be used to create coffee tables, benches, and arm chairs among many other things.

Fire Pit

Brighten up your garden by building your own fire pit, perfect for those warm summer evenings. It requires a bit of digging if you want to do it properly, but it’s well worth the effort and it looks fantastic. Use gravel to create a solid base, and cut breeze blocks to create a walled ring of fire. As a finishing touch, use flat natural stones to cap it off.
